Just had a long pending crib about the character names in your book. While most of them are simply inspired as the cranes, crows, Danh-Gem, Amloki, Kumirdanga etc, some of them look a little stretched : Aciram, Atarak etc. Maybe you are taking the reading backwards business a bit too far?
And errr … golems named Mati and Mrittik are merely underlining the obvious, isn’t it?
Also IMHO, the Atarak episode was extremely unnecessary for the flow of the book. And a brilliant name like Lalmohan got wasted in that episode.
Just my opinions and that too way past the sell-by-date.
This does not take anything away from the fact that, you are one of the best things which has happened to Indian novels in recent time.
Congratulations man. I would really love to see the manticore emerge as a global hit. Even if you dont have eragons $500000 advertising campaign, you definately have a large part of the indian BLOGGING community behind you. I am planning a post about simoquin and manticore, on an online scifi community. which of the reviews should i link to in your opinion? also Manticore come in december, right?
jai, trina, sonia, kanti, teleute: thank you verrah much.
udayan: thank you too, and hope the names in manticore meet with your approval:)
tanveer: again, thanks, and global hit is a very very very long way away. manticore is in december, and do use any of the links ive displayed brazenly in the sidebar if youre feeling generally positive.

Congratulations.
Congrats darling. Next thing you know they’ll be asking you to make speeches at the Pamplona opening ceremony
