Djinn and tonic

Met William Dalrymple at Rana’s party on Friday; Rana was obviously there too, so we had a Tehelka reunion, with Ruchir Joshi as honorary member. WD laughs uproariously, dances enthusiastically and reads this blog!
Rana’s party was probably one of the Events of the Season – the only one I scored an invite for, anyway – and I watched in admiration as congregations of writers/artists/filmmakers/critics/culture/media types circulated, masticated, and, well, you know. And many things happened that are probably better off not roaming the internet 🙂

In other news, am in love. She’s black with grey stripes, or grey with black stripes, and we’re not naming her, because she’ll return to the man she lives with in a week, and we will be hearbroken, but we knew it was going to be this way before we got into it. But she constantly walks over our feet and falls over and claws us madly when we feed her milk through a dropper and she’s so tiny.

  6. Hi there…..you have another Sim. Prophecies fan… looking at the way the book has been going so far, why do I have this feeling it will have a SuperStarWars ending?

Yes, and when is the sequel? Bridal Beer tells me its out…true or false?
