Untouchable

Coming up soon, a comicbook written by Mike Carey and Samit Basu. For reals! When my editor at Virgin, MacKenzie Cadenhead, asked me if I’d like to co-script with Mike, my initial reaction was disbelief; I’m a huge fan of everything he’s written, and he’s one of the first writers whose work I sought out and devoured when I started reading comics seriously. And I’m happy to say he’s not only a super-pro-writer who taught me many, many things about telling stories, but also incredibly flexible and easy to work with. The book is fun, too. The solicit is here.

  4. This is a bonus month. I discovered Cory Doctorow’s graphic novel version of ‘Futuristic Tales of the Here and Now’ earlier this month and just found out about your comicbook as well!

  5. Dear Samit Basu ,
I want to send a message to virgin comics. Can u please convey this for me.

    Dear Virgin comics company ,
I like to know why virgin comics are not being sold in India properly. You may find them at bookstores like landmark , crosswords Etc but not in ur local bookstore like other comics ( tinkle for example) and magazines .While U r introducing lot of new comics in America , we still need to recieve the first issue of ramayana 3392A.D.
I looks like u r searching for western appreciation and do not care about Indian readers .So , you are not fit to be called an Indian comic company.

P>S I like you work , Smait basu .Please force them to release your books ( like comic book based on panchatatra( tall tales of vishnu sharma)
, untouchable etc ) in India . I am looking forward to read your works.

Just a tip , unlike most authors , don’t let success go into ur head and do be too commercialized
    love ur works

  7. Hi I think you should make your simoqin prophecies and the entire series in to a comic book. May be a Manga, black and white – like naruto – art!! I think it would be totally awesome!!
