Reboot

It’s been almost two months since I finished the book, and am just beginning to emerge from post-partum depression and post-work-binge-coma. Not that no work has been happening – I’ve started a comics column for Bombay HT (links in articles section) and more comics projects are in the works. More importantly, I’ve started reading again, and watching films, all the stuff I bought while I was writing and postponed until the book was finished. Though both books and movies are having trouble keeping up, because there’s serious new competition in the Basu cave – have been completely immersed in Oblivion, the XBox game, which is easily the best game I’ve ever played. Can’t wait to write one of my own.

News updates – the Superhero anthology from Scholastic is out, and so is Devi 3 in India, so do pick em up if you can. Have been completely out of touch on the books front, but did read Ambarish Satwik‘s fascinating Perineum (there is no way you can make that sound right) and I hear Rana has finished his new book, which is truly excellent news.

It’s a difficult process, reconnecting with the world, but it shall be done. Or not – I have a script to do in the next few days, and much research. Clearly it is now time to return to Sims 2.
