Apart from the endless yapping, have been catching up on the reading as well – re-reread the Younguncles, reread Unprincess (my favourite is the story starring my sister), another Colfer, and finally finished Cloud Atlas yesterday. Today was supposed to be an Orhan Pamuk/Philip Roth Day, but ended up reading about 900 pages of Jeff Smith’s Bone, the one-volume edition, which I was fairly delighted to find at Landmark. The graphic novel collection there just keeps getting better and better. Also read Neil Gaimans Neverwhere and Stardust over the last few days, both excellent.
And watched The Rising, which I didnt think was particularly bad, though the men on the elephant were very irritating.
*indignant* what about the potols?
very productive day, i see π
Which Colfer – Supernaturalist, or Opal Deception?
Artemis Fowl is a great series. I find it very funny. Am reading ‘The Golem’s Eye’ by Jonathan Stroud (sequel to The ‘Amulet Of Samarkand’ – Bartimaeus trilogy). Interesting so far. Read it if u can.
How can you read so many books so fast? Even I can’t do so much! (much faster than the school record set by me)
DUDE! BONE! That has to be one of the best graphic novels ever. Smiley bone reminds me of Pippin (the fool of a took), or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
Did ya ever read American Gods? I’m desperately trying to get a screener DVD of Mirrormask through some *back* channels.
b: potols also dealt with, just didnt blog abt them.
teleute: always. did you get whoever it was to ask you out?
kanti: read em all. i had time.
anangbhai: read american gods, waiting eagerly for anansi boys, dont have the kind of net connection that would make mirrormask rear entry (?) possible
nope. have given up hope :-C
cmon. young star like you? giving up hope is for geriatrics like me. and gamesmaster (hey, ani!)
Dont give up teleute! Thats my job (not yours Samit – ur neither a “jerry” nor “a docile-looking teenager with psychotic tendencies”)
U must read very very fast Samit. Faster than me. Im taking my time on Golem’s Eye. Total about 3.5 to 4 hours.
forgot which spy thriller i read this in, but ‘recovery proves fitness, not speed’
am glad to know the potols have not been neglected. excuse me, i must go cry into my dinner. preacher is so depressing.
young oblivious star, mind you!
and geriatric? fishing for compliments, are we? besides, you’re not the old one – wannabe-P is!
@kanti – thanks for the encouragement π but why do you want to give up?
Coz I think Im hopelessly geeky – atleast thats what my friends tell me. This is despite the Lucifer-like voice in my head telling me that my friends are flaming me to cover their own insecurities.
The result, I give up on matters like this. I’ve come to recognize thaings like this as a hopeless impossibility.
i refuse to be insulted on other ppl’s blogs :)) but wait a sec, lemme ddecide which one i more distrubing – being called old or being called wannabe-P π
tchah!!!
