So, I come back home to find Stoob watching TNA wrestling in Hindi. A truly horrible concept, youd think, but I started watching too, and it was doubly hilarious. Hopegully in time theyll find Hindi names for all the moves…and for all the wrestlers. I would love to see, for example, what “the showstopper, the icon, the main event, the heartbreak kid shawn michaels!” would be called in hindi.
what they should REALLY do to make it the best camp show in the world is to have Javed Jaffrey do commentary on the matches, Takeshi’s Castle style. Id attempt a sample, but you know what my Hindi is like.
After a while I noticed Stoob was looking very upset. I asked him what it was, and he said these hindi commentators were going to spread ignorance and confusion and hamper the creation of new TV wrestling fans. Why? Because theyd just called a supplex a bodyslam. The horror, the horror.

Javed Jaffri would be perfect as a commentator. But get johnny lever or paresh rawal in there too.

The prog you mention was Telematch and used to be run years and years ago by DD. That was really fun, I quite miss it.
