Ratnabali

Heard from Ani that Ratna has apparently landed a plum role in a major Italian play and is appearing on back pages of India today and the like, next to the likes of Nagma. Its lovely when people who deserve to make it make it. In memory of Blackadder, ‘look at that rat!’, ‘take a deep breath…regain control’, blowing kisses on the loreto stage, toffee surds, Monty Python’s waiter sketch and the first year dumb C/chao quiz milieu conquest, and in tribute to her immense talent and wild witch-cackle, heres wishing Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, the original jangli didima, sage monkey of the haloo tree, all success. Break a leg, bebbeh.
