Was in Cal last weekend, where the Superhero! launch went very well; there were people behind the people who were standing because the chairs were full, one superhero-costumed kid, one baby, several Young Journalist types and later there was a dinner with many, many school principals which ended, predictable, with the authors clustered around the bartender and the principals heading homewards at 930 or so. The only downside was that I missed Jai’s post-wedding party, and since he’s clearly the kind of chap who has one happy and successful marriage, it’s not like I can even catch the next one. Here’s wishing the happy couple much happiness and coupleness.
I leave you with this picture of author/journalist/rocker Indrajit Hazra thinking ‘Is that Clifford the Big Red Dog behind me, or just a figment of my imagination?’
Actually, I don’t. I’m feeling lazy and will upload it later.
Later:
Further update: More Superhero joy. Read this article to learn about this unique anthropology of children literature, Indi’s claims of tautness, Rimi B’s feministicity and my common wackiness.
And here, more about Indi’s bowel problems and confirmation of what you’ve always suspected: I’m a darling.
Arrghh! Feministic! Arrghh!
hehe…
