Nice! And suitably sinister.
I like the font of your name.
How come a new cover though? Is it supposed to change every year, or when sales hit the roof?
Posted by Sonia Faleiro | November 25, 2005, 12:42 pmand when does the manticore’s secret come out. i might seem a tad over enthusiastic, but i am visiting home for a short while and leave in the second week of december across the vertical sea. and i do tend to be extremely self centered and can’t get over the fact that the earth does not revolve around me, but when oh when.
the word verification word was ‘damopr’. sounds like one of your ravians.
Posted by Dr. Alamandrax | November 25, 2005, 9:14 pmSo we still don’t get to see any of the main characters…..
Posted by Pip Squeak | November 25, 2005, 9:16 pma definite improvement! Much better methinks.
I didnt know it was called gameworld though.
And are u coming to chennai to promote manticore???
Posted by the bored one | November 25, 2005, 9:16 pmsenor basu, my question mirrorring that of the others is, when does your sequel come out … and i didn’t know that it was gameworld…
p.s.: level 2 paladin with more than half hitpoints left … baldur’s gate if i am not mistaken?
Posted by Ancalagon The Black | November 26, 2005, 7:10 amthis is cool….interesting and alluring….purrrfect.
Posted by Komal Mehta | November 26, 2005, 7:10 amyou wonderful and popular boy, you.
Posted by Bini | November 26, 2005, 7:10 amnice. very very nice 🙂
Posted by Teleute | November 26, 2005, 7:10 amheh.
sonia: no, its just that now that its fixed its a trilogy, the covers will have to look similar.
dr. a: soon. very soon. will hopefully be out second week december. and damopr is rather nice
ps: no. thats the way i wanted, because the characters never match the way they look in the readers head.
tbo: i doubt it. delhi, bombay, cal mostly fixed, am working on bangalore. id definitely like to come to chennai, though. will see if something can be worked out.
ancalagon: yes, but loads of other RPGs as well. sort of generic RPG reference.
komal, b, tel, thanks v much.
Tridib: mine too. ill put the second books cover up v soon.
Posted by samit | November 26, 2005, 7:15 amYes, this cover is classier. Closer to my conception of what the jacket of a SFF novel should look like.
Posted by Tridib | November 26, 2005, 7:15 amvery nice!:)
Posted by Shilpa | November 26, 2005, 9:35 am*wolf whistles*
Posted by The Marauder's Map | November 26, 2005, 9:35 amPersonally, I liked the original black cover better…
Gameworld? Didn’t quite see the reasoning behind the name – maybe because I haven’t read the second book.
The name font is good though.
Posted by Shobhik | November 26, 2005, 10:13 amI approve. *nod*.
Posted by Aishwarya | November 26, 2005, 9:30 pmNice. Could we see Manticore’s cover as well? And yes, do try to come to Chennai too.
Posted by Nina | November 26, 2005, 10:07 pmJust bought the first book yesterday. Half way through it already, and loving it 🙂
Might even do a review soon. Let’s see!
And me too like the older cover. Somehow feels cooler. Of course I agree about the not-having-characters-on-the-cover bit. Pratchett’s characters always look so ugly on his covers.
Posted by Rajesh J Advani | November 28, 2005, 9:27 amBrilliant 🙂
Looking forward to the book. Second week of december eh, 😀
Anyways do let us know where and when is the launch, will try to make it there
