German book deal

is happening; Piper Verlag, a really good German publisher Penguin got in touch with, will publish both Simoqin and Manticore and wants an option on the third.
Good news on book front, finally!

  8. So when is the next book coming out?…BTW me and my brother are avid fans of your style of writing…I have even read your essay in the Don Bosco mag (something about some scientists of the future coming to your school)…I have even created a accurate (maybe) of the mythical world you showed to us in your first book…I just love your writing…
(Maybe you can read my blog at http://sushirrahaman.blogspot.com/
I just can’t believe that I chanced upon your blog…your article in the Telegraph on Independence Day was truly fabulous…(Maybe I am sounding a bit incoherent if judged by my post but I really am feeling fortunate to have been visited your blog)
BTW sorry for such a long post

  9. thank you all…id like to thank the academy, etc, etc.
sushir, great to read your comment..id completely forgotten the Don Bosco mag article, but now memory floods..wrote it when i was in class 9 or something. it mustve been my first SF piece. about a bunch of scientists in post-apocalypse cal who came to DB and looked around.
remember being terribly annoyed because the story was supposed to end with the scientists saying Cal would be inhabitable again in a few years…and whoever the moron was in charge of editing helpfully changed it to uninhabitable. ah well.
