Great Bong has a fabulous post on the Great Parnab Mukherjee, which rekindled fond memories of very entertaining chats in the Don Bosco auditorium, and not-so-fond memories of those made-up questions. Parnab’s doing very well now, quizzes, theatre, and has even written a book. But I guess you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

Oy! Fix your links. The 5th and 6th links in this post have an extra space in them, which is screwing things up.
aaah…from calcutta to delhi-from delhi to bombay, then to banglore-jamshedpur…all the poor iits and colleges…P mukherjee lives on…gawd..somebody stop him!!!

I am 30 and still recovering from the two quizes we lost almost 12 years back becuase of Parnab’s “in-depth” knowledge of Pink Floyd songs and albums.
Shaallaa!!!!!!!B********!!!!!!!!
The world according to Parnab:
Joseph Heller’s ‘Catch-22′ describes incidents during the Korean War, as opposed to WWII, which non-enlightened folks like us who had actually read the book had failed to realize till then. Incident from an inter-Hall quiz at IIT-KGP, where Parnab would always be invited because the Cultural Secy’s budget was running he (Parnab) demanded very little to no remunerations !
I could keep ranting about Parnab – but GreatBong’s post has finally exorcized those bad memories.
i love the fact that hes capable of stirring up so much emotion over such a long period of time. my last parnab quiz was, what, 8/9 years ago? its startlingly fresh in my memory
